Questions regarding ticket booking

Please contact the organizer via email. This is stated on the ticket and in all e-mails. You will also find his contact details in the confirmation email. Unfortunately, we at YesTicket cannot do anything about this.

You can look up your organizer's contact details here: https://www.yesticket.org/en/help.php

To date, we have not known of a case in which YesTicket has been debited twice: If you did not receive a ticket, nothing was debited either.

You can also check this: Log in to your payment service provider (e.g. PayPal ), everything is automatically updated there and you can see whether an error has occurred.

If an error has occurred, please contact your organizer. This can quickly refund the double debit. But like I said, that hasn't happened yet.

Hopefully this can be solved quickly :

Option 1: Open a PayPal account and pay with it - it's free and easy: https://www. paypal.de
Option 2: Try an alternative bank account or credit card - usually works
Option 3: Book with a different email address - this often helps
Option 4: If all this is not working, you can still do the following:
1. Make sure the entered data is correct
2. Delete cookies / cache of the browser used
3. Change your browser: Chrome instead of Firefox and vice versa
4. Change your data connection: Mobile instead of WiFi and vice versa
5. Change your device: switch from mobile phone to PC and vice versa

If none of this works either, you or your computer are incorrectly on a blacklist. Then complain directly! Try booking, call payment service provider PayPal at the same time and provide your email address: 0800/7234500 from a landline or 069/945189832 from a mobile phone.

Questions by organizers

Registration and getting started with YesTicket

Please have a look at the following page : https://www.yesticket.org/de/features.php

Quoi qu'il en soit, inscrivez-vous gratuitement et essayez... C'est très simple ici : https://www.yesticket.org/de/registration.php

Yes. This is particularly important to us and therefor we:

  • Use secure SSL connections
  • Operate a server in Germany
  • Protect us against service failures with daily backups
  • Have a super-fair and transparent data protection agreement , which you can read here: https://www.yesticket.org/de/datenschutz.php

If you register your group with YesTicket, you will also receive an ADV - a contract for order data processing in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. In short: It states what we do with the data and which services we may use, for example a service for sending e-mails.

After logging in, take a look at the YesTicket integration page, you will find many tips there.

Among others, we offer you the following options:

  • via HTML text link

  • by button

  • via iFrame

  • via RSS

  • via Wordpress plugin - absolute highlight!

  • via iCalendar

  • via QR code

No worries. Just take some photos.

It is important that you do not violate any copyrights. Don't just copy a logo or photo from another website.

If in doubt, we have great placeholder images. Those will be enough for starters.

Yes. However, exactly one organizer is bound to each e-mail address.

That means you need a separate user with a separate e-mail address for each group .

You may have to get a new email address from GMX or Gmail.

Enter the same information that you entered on the imprint of your website.

You can find more information here: https://www.e-recht24.de/artikel/datenschutz/209.html

And a practical imprint generator here: https://www.e-recht24.de/impressum-generator.html

Enter the same information that you entered on the imprint of your website .

You can find more information and an imprint generator here: https://www.e-recht24.de/artikel/datenschutz/209.html and the generator here: https://www.e-recht24.de/impressum-generator .html

Your website first needs a GDPR-compliant data protection declaration . You can use this generator for example: https://datenschutz-generator.de/

Then you still need a data protection declaration for the use of YesTicket, because you will process personal data through us.

After your login you will find a small help text by YesTicket on the page https://www.yesticket.org/login/de/organizers_add.php at the bottom.

Create your own website for your group (that's a good idea anyway, so your viewers can find you!)

There are many different (including free) services for this. Google will help you to find appropriate providers.

Fabian and Macro from 4wint Improtheater from Braunschweig are both founders and creators of YesTicket.

They are longtime improv actors themselves. Fabian since 2006, Macro since 2009. With the help of the improv community on Facebook, you started YesTicket in 2019 to support impro theater groups and get even more viewers excited about the art of improvisation. And of course for all other types of cultural creation, because our mission is: Get more people enthusiastic about cultural events!

Fabian Ahrendts has a degree in computer science. His degree at the Carl-Friedrich-Gau&rszlig; Faculty of the Technical University of Braunschweig, he graduated with honors and the Graduate Award 2006 for outstanding graduates from the Gesellschaft für Informatik. Fabian has been playing improv theater since 2006 and is a founding member of 4wint Improtheater Braunschweig. He is responsible for the backend, database and secure data storage at YesTicket.

Mirko (Macro) Fichtner is a designer and frontend web developer. He has experience with community websites through the largest German film website Moviepilot as well as large; scaled shops i.a. through his work for OTTO. Macro has been playing improv theater since 2009, is a co-organizer of the Berlin Impro Marathon and writes for Impro-News.de. He is responsible for the design and user experience at YesTicket.

See here who else is involved in YesTicket: https://www.yesticket .org/en/about.php

Yes, Yesticket is free for cultural groups to use. You can also do a test with an account for your group at any time. Just sign up and try us out.

Receive payments

PayPal is a way to accept payments for your tickets. You need a PayPal business account for your group and can then accept PayPal, direct debit and credit card payments. All groups with online payment on YesTicket have it. YesTicket has no further connection to PayPal and you enter into a contractual relationship directly with PayPal.

If you don't feel like paying online, just use YesTicket's box office function. It works great too.

Proceed as follows:

  1. First create a PayPal business account for your group. (This is not your private account :-)) - Simply go to "Register" in the top right and then select Business: https://www.paypal.com/de/webapps/mpp/paypal-plus-center - After that you have created a PayPal business ;FT account
  2. Now follow the steps in this guide to create a webapp: https://www.paypalobjects.com/webstatic/de_DE/downloads/Documentation_REST_API_Accessdata.pdf
  3. After this you should have something that doesn’t look very legible but allows the payments:
    Live Environment Client ID: AbfggkbDzp8IiXe03950495z2c35uhv435ihzv343nUC3dikI8Sdp
    Live Environment Secret: ENdGDt6J9LauIP_ElWQ923482 05843095jdslkfjhgJDOFJWWSEF
  4. You have to enter these two cryptic pieces of information with us: https://www.yesticket.org/ login/en/organizers_add.php
  5. That's it and you're good to go

No. You can also select direct debit or credit card for payment. And of course, also important for many: "Payment only at the box office" is possible too!

A PayPal business account is subject to a number of conditions. This is the case with most payment services.

The important thing is that online payments are not mandatory - you can also offer "payment at the box office" only.

However, a sole proprietor can also sign up for a PayPal business account - maybe there is someone in the group who can do that.

Have a look at https://www.yesticket.org/login/de/organizers_add.php and the instructions for integrating PayPal there.

There is a high probability that your 2 keys are wrong. When you get them from PayPal, there is a switch between Sandbox and Live. You need the Live-Keys . The Sandbox keys are for testing only, which is not needed here.

Then you should simply try a real booking with your private PayPal to see if everything works.

Short answer: Immediately. We at YesTicket have nothing to do with your payment flows. We think that's a good thing, because no provider should stand between you and your money!

This is quite simple. You will also find a green button behind each booking entry in the booking list for each event . Here you can rebook to another event or refund an online payment directly .

By the way, PayPal only allows this for a few months - very old bookings can no longer be refunded here.

Whatever works: Log in to PayPal and refund there - you can also make partial refunds there, for example.

Yes, there really is. PayPal supports non-profit organizations and associations. Please inform yourself directly at PayPal as soon as you create your account there.

Regarding questions about the procedure, please always contact PayPal directly, we cannot help you with this. But they have a competent hotline.

Yes, we do. Please maintain your tax data on the Group Info page and activate the corresponding function in the event for events that require a complete invoice (not all of them). You can also download the invoices via the accounting page. Please always speak to your tax advisor about the details, we cannot offer advice on tax aspects.

We generally recommend that you use PayPal. These offer direct debit, credit card, PayPal and, if necessary, typical country-specific payments. You can also use Stripe for credit card payments.

Please contact them directly to find out about PayPal or Stripe's fees. Unfortunately, we have no influence on their fees.

You can accept direct debit or SEPA direct debit, credit card (Visa and Mastercard) and PayPal payments via your PayPal business account. Your visitors don't necessarily need a PayPal account. This is very practical for you and your bookers.

Please note that you must first register your PayPal account with us before the payment options for your events are displayed. Until then you can work with a reservation for the box office. Of course we also support this function.

This is how it works: You must cancel the existing booking and manually enter a new booking. This is quick and easy to do and the viewer will receive their new tickets. You can find everything you need in the functions for each booking.

Application of YesTicket

Yes. You can find all email addresses of all bookers at the bottom of the booking overview for the event . You can copy it into an email program. But please note the instructions there.

Yes, you can store individual seating plans for your events, which enable you to book exact seats.

Yes, that's possible. You can generate a password at presale booking offices and then even the corner shop can sell tickets for you via a special page.

If the corner shop does not have internet, proceed as follows:

  1. Reduce the total number of places offered online by a fixed pre-sale contingent
  2. Make the tickets available to your presale booking offices
  3. If not all tickets from the contingent have been sold, you increase the number of seats offered again

Probably not at all. You should still register your event, there is an extra option for this: 'Book externally, e.g. directly via the location/the theatre' - enter the link to the theater's booking system there.

Also try the following: Get your own contingent of tickets that you are allowed to offer yourself and put them on sale on YesTicket.

We designed YesTicket at the time because with 4gewinnt Improtheater (our improv theater group in Braunschweig) we no longer wanted other ticket providers to charge us fees of 6-12% per ticket and then keep the data of our viewers.

We wanted to change that and we did : YesTicket was introduced to the entire culture and improv community and is now used intensively here.

Please read the questions on our FAQ page first. A lot of things are asked again and again and we have collected the knowledge from the last few years there for you.

If you still have questions, please use the contact details on the Help page (found at the bottom of every page). The quickest way to get an answer is to send an email to our support with your specific questions.

You can set automatic emails about events in the event itself. At the bottom you will find all the options.

You can configure your personal information emails under Members and there under your name.

Unfortunately, no. But you can rebook to other shows or just cancel the ticket. You can find how to do this is here in the FAQs too.

Or keep a manual list. Sorry for that.

This function doesn't exist yet, neither can your viewers enter their own amount for the ticket price.

However, you can specify up to 5 price categories beforehand, e.g. 0 EUR - 2 EUR - 5 EUR - 10 EUR - 20 EUR and name them accordingly.

Yes, this can be done via the field: "Ticket information after booking (optional)" on the maintenance page of the event.

Whatever works: You will find all e-mail addresses of all bookers at the bottom of the booking overview for the event. You can email everyone there. But please note the instructions there.

We launched YesTicket in 2019 with the help of the improv community on Facebook to support improv groups and get even more viewers excited about the art of improvisation . And of course for all other types of cultural activities, because our mission is: getting more people excited about cultural events.

With us, each group decides for itself what it can contribute, so starting groups are happy to pay nothing at all and later we can be granted percentage contributions as a share in further development, server costs, etc. It is a joint ticketing system carried by the community. At much more favorable conditions than you would have with commercial providers.

For financing, we also maintain partnerships with e.g. Impro-Hotels, theater- and cultural associations. These cover part of the operating costs. Unfortunately only the smaller part :-) We are therefore looking for more partners who, for example, want to offer an easy-to-use ticketing system to their members: https://www.yesticket.org/de/partners.php

What we are also often asked: We do not sell your data - not even to our partners. Our friendly and transparent data protection agreement applies here.

Yes of course. Access to your event can be controlled using the QR code printed on the YesTicket ticket.

An individual Internet address is encoded in the QR code of the ticket, which must be called up in the browser of your mobile phone. The person checking must be logged in to YesTicket in the browser on his / her mobile phone, only then the visitor can be booked in and out.

If you have an Android phone, you can use our super convenient YesTicket Scanner app for this. Download it from the Playstore and activate it for the event with the QR code on the box office list for the event: Download YesTicket Scanner App

At the same time, however, the classic evening box office list has proven to be the flexible tool par excellence at our theater. You can simply print and use them at the checkout.

Not yet.

Your tickets already contain your logo and your events, so your viewers can fully concentrate on you. Depending on how you include or request this in your conditions, tickets can also be shown on the cell phone or printed out as DIN A4.

Points of sale will receive an individual login link and password from you with which they can log in to a special YesTicket page. After logging in, you can book tickets for your currently bookable events. You will then receive payments directly from the point of sale because they collect the amount. If you want, you can give the point of sale a percentage of your sales.

Advance booking offices can also be used as box offices: valid tickets can then be issued through a advance booking office until the end of an event. These advance booking offices can also view and book secret events. You activate the box office mode in the settings of the ticket office.

YesTicket is available in German, English, French and Spanish and all e-mail templates are also automatically available in all languages .

And YesTicket differentiates between the language for groups and bookers. Everyone can use the language that is best for them.

This is possible.

  • You can easily integrate individual events via a link, every event has one. You can get the link easily via the booking overview: click the green function button at the back and then 'Event link to clipboard'. Then just "Paste" it in the application/website for which you need the link.
  • With the Wordpress plugin, for example, you can limit it to "only workshops" to only display events of a certain type.

Have a look at the Embed & integrate YesTicket page

Another group is probably already using this code.

Our discount codes are unique throughout the system so that there can be no confusion.

Please think of a new code...you will find one.

We can only change your group name and the address ("URL") of your main page directly. Please let us know if there are any problems here.

The address of your event pages is automatically generated from the title of the event. This is important so that it can be found correctly in search engines. No need to change anything here.

Please also use the contact channels at https://www.yesticket.org/de/help.php

Only the previous representative can do this:

  1. He/She has to log in
  2. Go to 'Change group info' ( https://www.yesticket.org/login/de/organizers_add.php )
  3. Scroll to 'Group representative' and change it to the new contact person

By the way: Afterwards, the previous representative can also delete his/her account... but only if it is necessary.

No. Your data stays with us. Take a look at our fair and transparent data protection agreement.

Everything else is between us. We do not sell your data - not even to our partners.

You cannot do this yourself for technical reasons. Simply send us an email to support with this request.

Yes, we offer a Wordpress plugin that allows you to display your events directly on your website. It allows you to maintain your appointments on YesTicket and keeps your website always up to date.

You can also display visitor comments on your website.

After you have logged in, you can download the plugin on the Integrate YesTicket page. There you will also find all the additional information your webmaster needs. If you want to try this out in advance, register your group and start the test.

This can easily be done online by the group's contact person. How to do this is described at the bottom of the Group Info page.

Please write us an email and tell us your YesTicket username. We will then send you the voucher code.

Yes that works. Simply add visitors manually and use the Add to Guest List feature. You can also do this later.

Cool. We are very pleased that you want to contribute to YesTicket's operating and development costs. Please write us an email and tell us your desired amount and we will then create an invoice for you.
