8h, 2 day Evening Workshop with Susan Messing Info: Due to popular demand, you can now also book one-day tickets!

It is time to finally get answers to those questions and problems with improvisation that you have thought about forever and just can’t crack the code. This class is pretty self explanatory. Part lecture, part get up and go, no question too stupid. Let’s break improv wide open, take rules out of the picture, and celebrate comedy again. If you’re in your head, this’ll rip it out. Perfect for people who have studied too much and learned too little. All levels.

Susan Messing a NJ native and graduate of Northwestern University’s Theatre School, has been an improviser and comedian for over 39 years. She is an alumna of the iO Theatre, Chicago’s Second City MainStage, and a founding member of Chicago’s infamous Annoyance Theatre. Susan has created and taught her curriculum at iO/iO West, The Annoyance, The Second City, and around the globe and currently teaches for The University of Chicago.

Thisworkshop is co-taught by John Lehr the star/creator/writer for “10 Items or Less”, “JailBait” and “Quickdraw”. John has appeared in “Friends”, “The Sweetest Thing,” and three Noah Baumbach films, “Kicking and Screaming,” “Mr. Jealousy,” and “Highball.”
