Jan 17, 2026, 2:00pm - 5:00pm | Ballhaus Prinzenallee, Berlin

Ready to turn your improv scenes into show-stopping musical moments?

In this 3-hour crash course, you’ll learn how to create improvised songs that are catchy, hilarious, and full of heart - no musical training required.

Buckle up and join one of Berlin’s most experienced musical improvisers and a legendary pianist for a fast-paced Crash Course: Musical Improv.

We'll learn by doing, singing, moving, and collaborating with other improvisers and a live pianist.

It’ll be exciting, loud, and a ton of fun, no matter how beautifully (or terribly) you think you can sing.

You’ll learn how to:

Build a pop song on the fly • Craft poetic verses and catchy choruses • Turn a scene seamlessly into a full-blown musical number • Support fellow improvisers with backup vocals and backup dancing • Communicate with a live musician • Create a group musical montage

Sound like a lot? It is! But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

Requirements:

A love of music and improv • Basic improv experience (Level 1 or equivalent) • Strong level of English • No singing or musical background needed

Not sure if you meet the requirements? Just get in touch!

What to bring:

Comfortable clothes you can move in • Water • A pen and paper

Only 16 spots available, so grab yours and get ready to make some musical magic!

About the pianist: Roy Hughes is a classically trained pianist turned electronic renegade who’s taught at top universities, performed all over the world, and scored over 40 films.
