About the workshop:

Object work can go from being completely forgotten about to feeling too overwhelming, especially as we’re trying to remember to do all the other good stuff we’re taught. The good news is, you hold stuff all the time, so your brain (and hands) already knows how to do it, we just have to try and do it without the object! Using actual real-life stuff, scenes and side-coaching we’ll have you holding stuff in no time!

About Jen:

Hello, my name is Jen (she/her) and I'm an improviser, poet, teacher and coach from the best city in the world, Liverpool. I perform with multiple companies including Playing Dead Theatre and Rubbish Shakespeare Company. I have also created a fully improvised family show, and I am developing my own solo improv show, Wet Skeleton. I’m a trained teacher; I teach and coach across the country and internationally. This has included international festivals and teams who have gone on to perform at international festivals and individuals who have gone on to carve out professional careers. I am a co-director of the Liverpool Improvisation Festival, I'm passionate about exploring improvisation in all forms, and supporting communities to perform and learn new ways to be spontaneous.

About the festival:

The Improfest Bielefeld 2025 will take place for the fifth time from 30.10. - 02.11.2025 with international guests from Peru, Switzerland, Slovenia and England.

This is one of 17 great festival workshops taking place from Friday to Sunday. The festival shows from Thursday (31.10.2025 - 02.11.2025) to Saturday (30.10.2025 - 01.11.2025) will be announced in the coming months.
